Team Summit Freestyle offers training programs for a broad spectrum of athletes in Freestyle and Freeride skiing. Over 70 athletes participate in our programs and train at four premiere Colorado resorts: Copper Mountain, Keystone, A-Basin and Breckenridge. Our competition tours span the Rocky Mountain region, the US, and the world with training camps in Chile and Switzerland, as well as at home in Summit County which boasts one of the longest ski seasons in the country. Whether you have Olympic dreams or are chasing after personal goals Team Summit the staff and program for you!

In the past 3 Olympic Games half of the US Men’s Mogul Team have been former Team Summit members: 1998 Nagano: Evan Dyvig & Alex Wilson; 2002 Salt Lake City: Evan Dybvig & Jeremy Bloom; 2006 Torino: Toby Dawson (Bronze Medal) & Jeremy Bloom.

Team Summit Freestyle boasts a strong elite team of athletes with 6 of the top 20 women’s mogul skiers in the nation. Two Team Summit skiers, David Babic and Heather McPhie, are currently named US Team athletes. David is the 2006 US National Champion and a world cup gold medalist; Heather is a two-time defending Nor-Am champion.

2005 US Junior National Champion Jordan Poyfair is currently the second highest ranked non-US Team skier in the US and was the only regional level skier to medal on the Nor-Am mogul tour in 2006. 2006 US National Champs silver medalist Sarah Ruckriegle is currently ranked 5th in the US in Dual Moguls and also took silver medals in both single and dual moguls at 2006 US Junior National Championships. J3 Mike DeGrandis was the top ranked J3 in the US for 2006. Mikaela Matthews was the top ranked J3 in the US for 2006.

Last year, eight different Team Summit skiers (Jordan Poyfair, Sarah Ruckriegle, Cheryl Pearson, Mikaela Matthews, Lane Stoltzner, Eric Haywood and John Eaton) all won USSA RMD mogul events. In 2006, Team Summit also won the RMD Division Cup with overall wins at 4 out of 8 competitions. At the 2006 Aspen RMD duals, Team Summit women swept the top 6 spots, and no skier from any other team beat a Team Summit girl in head to head competition, a feat unparalleled in RMD history.
