J3 Age Class- Programs
7-Week J3 Alpine Club 
J3 Alpine Club is an introduction to the world of competitive alpine racing. The club program will follow a structured, teaching progression introducing the skier to the fundamentals of racing. It will consist of 7 consecutive Saturday sessions, skiing with a coach and a group of like age and ability. The Alpine Club will focus on fun with proper foundation and fundamental technique. The groups will be introduced to the basics of racing technique and tactics. We will also ski the entire mountain including the back bowls, trees and miles of groomed runs. Big FUN!

Location: Rotating schedule - Mostly Copper Mountain
Requirements: USSA competitor license
Program Fees: $600
Other: Registration fee of $20 per athlete to be paid at time of enrollment.
Team jacket is NOT required.
Volunteer Service Fee is NOT required.
This program is NOT eligible for the 5% Early Registration discount.
Discounted season passes are NOT available to athletes in this program.
J3 Age Class- Weekend and Competitive Programs
Team Summit Weekend, and Competitive Alpine programs are tailored to the restricted time and committment level of the J3 Competitive Skier. These programs start on-snow training later, as the resorts officially open, to accomodate for other committments or conflicts. Once training begins they will train with the Full Time athletes following the J3 schedule(See below for details)
As with all our programs, coaches emphasize racer management, Goal Setting, technical and tactical skill development and physical, mental and equipment preparation. J3s compete in RMD Age Class races, select Summit Foundation Cup and USSA races. The competition schedule for J3 athletes is intended to match skill level, goals and commitment. The program includes coaching support at USSA and other select races.

*Pricing is set to reflect our on-snow season (Approximately November to mid-April.)
*The Competitive J3 program is a 4 day a week program in Summit County. ( Based on the schedule: Saturday-Sunday[9-3] and Wednesday and Friday evening) *Afternoons are availble with prior notification and subject to schedule availability.
-Any early season training. (See Punch Pass Program for extra day price details)
*DOES include scheduled training during holidays. Team Summit J3 program does not offer "holiday camps" but Team Summit does offer training during some days that fall on a holiday (see schedule)

*Spring Weekend May camps are NOT included.

Evening Skiing: Wednesday and Friday nights 5:00-7:00 at Keystone

Training Location: Rotating schedule: Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, & Keystone
Requirements: USSA competitor license. team jacket, The Rocky Mountain Super Pass and the Colorado Pass are required and must sign a Team Summit Code of Conduct/Club Policies.
Athletes must maintain a 70% overall grade average in prior quarter and/or report card. No credits or refunds will be issued due to missed training days caused by academic ineligibility.

J3 Weekend: $3,140
J3 Competitive Program: $3,700
Full Time J3 Age Class/Early Release
Weekend training plus three weekdays, with Friday selectively scheduled for dryland, travel or training. This program maximizes the athletes time on hill and off to prepare the young ski racer for future USSA and FIS racing. Athletes are introduced to all aspects of competitive ski racing with a systematic approach to training which includes: Goal Setting, technical and tactical skill development, equipment testing, race skill preparation, strength and condition, mental training and equipment preparation.
J3s compete in RMD Age Class races, select Summit Foundation Cup and USSA races. The competition schedule for J3 athletes is intended to match skill level and goals. The program includes coaching support at USSA and other select races.

Athletes may not leave school grounds without permission and without notifying Summit High School, Team Summit staff and/or coaches.
*Rules apply for both Fall and Spring conditioning programs.
*Failure to comply is a violation of Team Summit Code of Conduct and Summit County School System rules.
Exclusion Rules: Participation in other sports, class/study work, injury/sickness, parental permission, Summit High permission.

Trans- portation Pass: All Early Release athletes riding in a team van MUST purchase a transportation pass for daily pickups and drop offs at school.
