With an emphasis on FUN, this program seeks to improve each child's skiing technique over the course of an entire season. Groups are divided by age and ability, with particular attention paid to appropriate peer and athletic combinations.
Team Summit "Devo" programs are designed towards the younger athlete and are definitely recomended for ages 6 up to 13. 
A low athlete to coach ratio provides every member ample instructional time, combined with careful supervision. Skills are strengthened through exposure to varied activities, including: miles of supervised free skiing, obstacle courses, moguls, powder (hopefully!), terrain parks, short drill courses, and/or full length Slalom and Giant Slalom courses. 
 
Developing skiers will participate in Summit County's own, "Summit Foundation Cup"  which will consist of three Saturday races, tentatively scheduled for February 6th at Breckenridge, March 6th at Copper and the Parent Child event on March 20th at Copper.  Entry fees and and or lift tickets for the Summit Foundation Cup are included in the program fees for Devo athletes
Devo athletes are also encouraged to race in up to two of the six Youth Ski League (YSL) races, held on Sundays.  Schedule for the 2010 YSL Series is currently being determined.  Entry fee and athlete tickets for YSL races are additional to the program fees.  Devo athletes wanting to enter more than 2 YSL races will be charged an additional $40 coaching fee per race over the 2 race maximum.
Devo skiers may choose their home ski area: Copper, Keystone or Breckenridge.  Please specify when registering.
