Team Summit, Ability Weekend, and Competitive Ability programs are tailored to the restricted time and committment level of the weekend, Competitive Ability skier. These programs start on-snow training later, as the resorts officially open, to accomodate for other committments or conflicts. Once training begins they will train with the Full Time athletes following a modified schedule(See below for detail) As with all our programs, coaches emphasize racer management, Goal Setting, technical and tactical skill development and physical, mental and equipment preparation. The competition schedule for Ability athletes will match athlete skill level and goals, includes participation in USSA and FIS events. Program includes coaching support at USSA and other select races throughout the season.
*Pricing is set to reflect our on-snow season (Approximately November to mid-April.)
*Competitive program is a 4 day a week program. Any additional days: early season training, early morning training. Athlete must use punch pass.
*DOES include scheduled training during holidays. Team Summit ability does not offer holiday camps but Team Summit does offer training during some days that fall on a holiday (see schedule)
*Does NOT include Pre-Season On-Snow training. (See Punch Pass Program for extra day price details)
*Spring Weekend May camps are NOT included. Cost per day estimated at $55/day
*The cost of travel and competitions for both the athlete and coaches will be in addition to your program fees.
Ages: 15 and older
Dates and Times:
Opening Weekend, 2009 – Closing Weekend, 2010
Weekly 1:30pm - 5:00pm (Comp Skiers)
Evening Training: Wednesday and Fridays 5:00-7:00 at Keystone *Optional-Must sign-up with coach
Saturdays and Sundays approximately 8:30am - 3:00pm daily (Weekend and Comp Skiers)
Location: Rotating schedule: Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, & Keystone
Requirements: USSA competitor license. team jacket, The Rocky Mountain Super Pass and the Colorado Pass are required and must sign a Team Summit Code of Conduct/Club Policies.
Athletes must maintain a 70% overall grade average in prior quarter and/or report card. No credits or refunds will be issued due to missed training days caused by academic ineligibility.

The Team Summit Full-Time Ability program is geared toward the serious USSA and FIS Racer. High School athletes take advantage of Early Release from the Summit County High School year-round academic program. Our mountains offer superior training opportunities starting late October – often into June- allowing the athlete to take advantage of diverse terrain, and wide variety of snow conditions found any one of the world class Summit County resorts.
We offer an experienced, veteran staff who will provide consistent training environments with a systematic approach and a thorough commitment to racer management. Programming includes: Goal Setting, technical and tactical skill development, physical, mental and equipment preparation, and full length race simulation.
Summary August 31, 2009 - April 31, 2010
Fall dryland opportunities, approximately 7 months on-snow training, spring dryland opportunities, pre-season skiing and May mini-camps.
*Pricing is structured to reflect our on snow season (October to May) additionally the Ability Full-Time program does include fall and spring condtitioning opportunities and Spring Weekend May Camps Included.

Ages: 15 on up
Dates and Times: Fall Dryland: August 31, 2009 - Approximately October 19th, 2009
Monday: 12:45 pm - 3 pm
Tuesday - Friday: 1:20pm - 3pm
On-Snow: October, 19th 2009 - Closing Weekend, 2010 - May Mini Camps at A-Basin
Monday off: Parents are responsible for their children after school
Tuesday - Thursday: 1:20pm - 5:30pm
Friday: OFF OR travel OR selected Fridays for training; most Fridays, parents will be responsible for their children after school
Saturdays & Sundays: 8:30am - 3:00pm
Spring Dryland:
April 19 - April 31, 2010 (Subject to change)
Monday - Thursday 1:15pm - 3:00pm
Important Team Summit Early Release Program- athletes must attend scheduled conditioning sessions unless otherwise excused.
Athletes may not leave school grounds without permission and without notifying Summit High School, Team Summit staff and/or coaches.
*Rules apply for both Fall and Spring conditioning programs.
*Failure to comply is a violation of Team Summit Code of Conduct and Summit County School System rules.
Exclusion Rules: Participation in other sports, class/study work, injury/sickness, parental permission, Summit High permission.

No credits or refunds will be issued due to missed training days caused by academic ineligibility. Must participate in the Team Summit Strength and Conditioning Assessment, maintain 80% attendance for all physical and on snow training. The Rocky Mountain Super Pass and the Colorado Pass are required. All athletes must sign a Team Summit Code of Conduct/Club Policies.
Program Fees: Full Time Ability $6,250
Transportation Pass: $600 All Early Release athletes riding in a team van MUST purchase a transportation pass for daily pickups and drop offs at school. This is necessary to cover rising gas prices and the high cost of insurance. No Pass, No Ride. Coaches will be taking attendance and reporting to the office.
